Letter from Birmingham Jail

50 years ago today, Dr. Martin Luther King wrote his letter from the Birmingham Alabama jail, explaining his philosophy of nonviolent resistance.  Here is the letter and commentary.  “We must use time creatively, and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right.”
