The DNC will meet on January 21, 2009 to elect a new chairman, but we should all be very appreciative of the work that Chairman Howard Dean has done, particularly in planning and implementing the 50 state strategy.  The Nation magazine recently published an excellent article on this issue (attached).  (I was interviewed by author Ari Berman in San Diego, but apparently space restrictions did not allow inclusion of my brilliant observations; it’s a fine article anyway.)  The article quotes OFA deputy campaign manager Steve Hildebrand as promising to continue the 50-state strategy, so state party activists have reason to be optimistic.
