DSCN0746The Democratic National Committee hold its fall meeting  on September 10-12, 2009 (Thursday-Saturday) at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas.  (The DVPA State Central Committee, by the way, will also meet on Sept. 12th, but I will be in Austin.)  The meeting will focus on advancing the initiatives of President Obama’s administration.

The business portion of the meeting will feature a general session on Friday morning that will include elections of at-large DNC Members, the at-large Executive Committee, and the standing committees (including the Rules and Bylaws, Credentials, and Resolutions Committees), and consideration of resolutions and  Charter amendments.  In addition, over the course of the three days, there will be meetings of the regional caucuses (including election of officers); meetings and officer elections for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Caucus, the Black Caucus, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender American Caucus, the Hispanic Caucus, the Women’s Caucus, the Native American Council, the National Democratic Ethnic Coordinating Council, the Rural Council, the Seniors Council, the Veterans and Military Families Advisory Council, and the Youth Council; and a meeting of the DNC Executive Committee.  I’ll be posting a report.
