While the GOP/Tea Party is holding a convention in Richmond to chose its statewide candidates, Virginia Democrats are holding a number of Congressional District conventions to elect members of the Democratic Party’s State Central Committee, consider resolutions, and do other business. Specifically, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th CDs are meeting on Saturday, and the 9th CD is meeting next Saturday (May 25). The Democratic Party wil hold a primary on June 11, 2013 to nominate its candidates for Lt. Governor and Attorney General – Terry McAuliffe was the only candidate to file for Governor and we are happy to consider him as our party’s nominee. I’ll see you on Saturday!
