The Obama campaign has set up a Rural Americans for Obama group. Under President Obama’s leadership, over 50,000 rural small businesses now have access to new credit and financing. Through the Obama administration’s investments in rural communities, more than 360,000 rural businesses and nearly 7 million rural Americans now have access to broadband, helping them become more competitive in our economy — and more connected with each other. Today, agriculture is one of the fastest-growing parts of our economy, creating one out of every 12 American jobs. President Obama has stood up for rural Americans and small towns and now they are standing up for him through this group. Check it out here!
The Democratic Party of Virginia is also activating its Rural Caucus – contact the DPVA at www.vademocrats.org to get involved.

I was proud to represent Virginia on the Democratic National Committee for 12 years. I am in DC now, but still active in voter protection and Democratic Party rules. More about me, click here.
