GOP Presidential Convention Delegate Selection Rules

  • by

Frontloading HQ had an excellent Christmas Eve post on the  “final” GOP Delegate Selection Rules.   The Democratic Party has long insisted on proportional allocation of delegates (to candidates exceeding a 15% threshold), while GOP contests have traditionally been winner-take-all.  This year, the early (pre-April 1, 2012) contests are supposed to be proportional, but with a lot of twists FHQ describes.  We also have added the Republican 2012 Delegate Selection Summary to our References Page (The Other Guys section).
