GOP Presidential Candidate in 2012?

  • by

To be honest, I really don’t care that much.  I’ve always thought it was important for Democrats to nominate the best candidate, and not worry too much about who the other party nominates.  President Obama has done an extraordinary job in difficult times and earned a second term.  I would rather have the GOP nominate a sensible and m0derate candidate with whom President Obama can have a rational discussion about how the address the country’s problems.  Unfortunately, such a GOP candidate doesn’t exist.  I thought Indiana’s Mitch Daniel would be their strongest candidate, but his family vetoed that.  The current crew floundering about in Iowa ranges from unimpressive to nuts.  I think Rick Perry is a crazier version of George W. Bush (just what we need), but he seems to be getting a lot of attention – here’s the top ten things you need to know about him.  So who should Democrats root for?
