President Obama has asked Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz to seek reelection as Chair of the Democratic National Committee. Story here. The election will be held at the DNC meeting on January 22, 2013 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. It is unlikely that any other candidates will run. Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz has done an excellent job of speaking for President Obama and the national Democratic Party, coordinating DNC/OFA efforts with state Democratic parties, helping to build state parties, and fighting voter supression efforts. We look forward to working with the DNC in connection with Virginia’s critical Governor’s race next year.
