The DPVA Central Committee met in Woodbridge this morning and endorsed the Senate-passed Congressional redistricting plan that provides for two opportunity districts, called for a primary to nominate he next US senator from Virginia, and voted to hold the 2012 VA Democratic Convention at George Mason University in Fairfax. It will be the first Northern Virginia Convention ever and we hope to draw high level speakers as well as doing the business of electing National Convention Delegates and DNC members. Brian Moran fired up the group regarding this fall’s critical elections, “private citizen” Terry McAuliffe spoke about the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2010 elections, wood pellets, electric cars, jobs, and fighting the GOP. 2011 election activities include voter registration, fundraising, GOTV, absentee ballot, and communications efforts, focusing on key races.
Brian Moran also appeared on the Charlottesville, VA, interview program Politics Matters with host Jan Paynter discussing politics: http://bit.ly/polmatters. Our interview with Terry McAuliffe will be posted soon as well.
