The Democratic Committee meets twice a year and will hold its Summer Meeting, August 22nd – 24th, 2019 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square in San Francisco, CA. The business will include consideration and hopefully passage of a Charter/Bylaws amendment that I have cosponsored to add the Chair and Vice Chair of the High School Democrats to the membership of the DNC – it is time to give these leaders of the present as well as the future a seat at the table. The Rules and Bylaws Committee will continue its process of approving 56 state delegate selection plans and dealing with other issues and the Resolutions Committee will consider over 50 resolutions, including six addressing climate change. A public schedule is attached and our excellent Voter Protection office is presenting a panel on Election Integrity in the Age of Polarization: Safeguarding the Right to Vote (August 22 at 4:00 p.m. in Franciscan A).
