DNC Communications Update 8.21.2015

  • by

GOP presidential candidates on immigration, health care, the middle class, and teachers, but still no references to Jim Gilmore.   Also – yet another nod to DPVA’s communications department In the States:  “On Friday, the Virginia Democratic Party released the following statement in light of the rough week that state Republicans had: “It was a bad week for Virginia Republicans, whose political antics with Supreme Court Justice Jane Roush went south. They not only failed to fire her, but also shut down any hope of legislative redistricting in the process. With Republicans failing to propose any serious solutions, responsibility for re-drawing Virginia’s Congressional districts now falls back to the courts. Despite their legislative loss, Speaker Howell, Leader Norment and Republicans in the General Assembly have continued to throw the year’s biggest political temper tantrum. A look at statewide coverage suggests that Virginia voters aren’t buying any of it.”  Read the full press release here.  (Note no 8/28 update because the Secy was busy at the DNC meeting; more on that next)
