Introducing: Organizing Summer

The DNC has a plan for fighting Trump and offering the American people a sound alternative.  Read below for what we are doing and how you can help.

Introducing: Organizing Summer

The most important thing you can do this week? Join us for the Organizing Summer Kickoff on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.

What Is Organizing Summer?

Organizing Summer is a major joint effort between the DNC, ASDC, the DCCC, DSCC, and DGA to mobilize Democrats ahead of 2025 and 2026 elections. While Republicans are working to take away health care, gut federal programs, and cement minority rule, we are building the infrastructure to fight back.

This is not just a moment. It is a strategy. It is how we build durable local infrastructure, train the next generation of volunteer leaders, and create sustained political pressure on Republicans at every level.

Organizing Summer is focused on three core goals, and it is grounded in a deep commitment to listening first and closing the feedback loop with the communities we organize.

Listening First: A Feedback-Centered Approach to Organizing

At every level of Organizing Summer — from volunteer events to voter registration to digital outreach — we are building systems to listen to voters, not talk over them. This means:
  • Designing multi-modal engagement that integrates digital, in-person, and community outreach so no conversation happens in a vacuum.
  • Training organizers and supporters to listen deeply, identify what matters most to their communities, and escalate that feedback through our national and state systems.

This approach helps us do more than just mobilize. It helps us build trust, relevance, and power from the ground up.

Our Core Strategy

1️⃣ Voter Registration, Led by State Parties
We are not leaving voter registration on the backburner. State Parties will be showing up in every corner of their states — county fairs, music festivals, farmers markets, and more to register and reach the voters we need. That means:
  • Equipping State Parties with tools for tabling and community outreach.
  • Supporting voter registration plans that are locally led and tailored to the communities they serve.

What you can do: Reach out to your State Party to plug into their local efforts.

2️⃣ Training Volunteers To Lead Online and Offline

Our organizing model is built for real life. That means showing up at the local library or union hall, but also activating your book club, Discord group, or family chat.

We are focused on helping volunteers build community, host events, and take meaningful action, in both political and non-political spaces.

At the center of this work is the Network Strategy Program, a national training series where volunteers learn how to organize where they are and mobilize the people they already know.

3️⃣ Relentless Accountability for Republicans

Republicans are counting on people not paying attention. They are pushing a billionaires-first budget that slashes Medicaid, cuts food assistance, and guts federal funding for education, all while handing more tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.

We are not letting it slide. Organizing Summer includes:

  • Direct calls to GOP Senators and members of Congress.
  • Local accountability events at district offices and community centers.
  • Showing up in digital spaces to call out Republicans and make it clear their harmful actions won’t be ignored.
