The portal is open for you to sign up to volunteer with the Democratic Coordinated Campaign’s Voter Protection Team this year.
We need your help to ensure that every eligible voter in the Commonwealth has the chance to cast his or her ballot and get it counted.
Last time we had a gubernatorial election, we saw how important voter protection was as we watched Mark Herring win by 907 votes. 1470 were provisional votes, which were counted thanks to the efforts of our Voter Protection Team.
As a poll observer, you will play a critical role helping Virginia’s voters by making sure that nobody with a valid ID is turned away, that no voter is intimidated, and that election officials are correctly interpreting and applying Virginia’s election laws. Volunteers do not need to be election law experts, or even lawyers. FAQs, as well as Regional in-person or webinar training, will be provided (about 1.5 hours).
Republicans continue to find ways to make it harder for Virginians to vote, so we need you to help protect voters on Election Day.
Making sure every single vote counts is a crucial part of our strategy — can I count on you to help?
