On the way back from Spring Break 2011 in Florida, we stopped in Downtown Petersburg. Very quiet – especially on a sunday, but the old town has a lot of potential. It makes a good I-95 stop and be sure to visit Hiram Haines’ coffee/book store (the site of Poe’s 1836 Honeymoon). In fact, the DPVA should consider holding its next Richmond-area meeting in Petersburg.
