The Democratic National Committee met in Los Angeles on December 11-13, 2025 to hear from Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democratic leaders, discuss party activities and recent wins, and conduct party business. The Rules and Bylaws Committee had a relatively short meeting, adopting procedural Rules for DNC meetings, proposing a technical amendment to the Charter re Executive Committee composition, and discussing youth activities. As previously reported, state parties interested in holding nomination contests in the early period, prior to the March 7, 2028 opening of the window, are required to submit a proposal to the DNC by January 16, 2026. The RBC will conduct an initial review of proposals at its meeting in Puerto Rico on January 31, 2026.
