Last month the Democratic National Committee Rules and Bylaws Committee adopted its Resolution on Principles and Procedures for Review of the 2028 Democratic Party Presidential Nomination Calendar. As it did last cycle, the RBC will consider proposals from states to hold nomination contests before the opening of the window on March 7, 2028. The RBC also adopted a Request for Proposals that states wishing to go early must submit to the DNC and must be received by January 16, 2026.
