On August 23rd, there is a primary
election for the Virginia House of Delegates 49th
District. My good friend, Alfonso Lopez is running for
this seat. I would like to invite you to
join me for a reception at my home,
next Wednesday, June 29th in support of
Alfonso.
A Columbia Pike resident, Alfonso has
been active in our community for many
years. Locally, he served on the Arlington
Fiscal Affairs Advisory Commission; at the state level,
he served in a cabinet-level position in Governor Tim
Kaine's administration.
As a resident
of the 49
th District myself, I want
Alfonso to represent me in the House of Delegates
because of his roots in the community, and because his
experience in all levels of government
– federal, state, and local – is the
experience we need in Richmond.
